Chianciano Waters: waters of health
The waters of the Chianciano Spa have always been renowned for their therapeutic effects on the liver and are an ideal method to cure several body disorders in a gentle and natural way.
Referring to the saying "waters of life" seems too much of a commonplace; therefore, a more fitting definition could be WATERS OF HEALTH.
Cures based on mineral waters are a major branch of natural medicine and in a large number of cases they can replace therapies based on pharmaceuticals, with the crucial advantage that they do not have detrimental side effects, which are often part and parcel of pharmaceutical medications.
The Waters of Chianciano do not guarantee miracles but they certainly grant wellbeing, meant in a global sense, both physical and psychological. They preserve and increase the wellbeing of those who already feel well and aid those who are not in good shape to regain their wellbeing.
Chianciano Terme is a health spa very rich in mineral waters with healing properties. It is located around 550 meters above sea level and, thanks to its favorable position, visitors can enjoy stunning landscapes and unique tourist attractions.
Surrounded by hills covered in oak, beech, holm oak, and chestnut forests, characterized by a mild climate and by a healthy and unspoiled environment, Chianciano Terme still has wide stretches of green areas in its town center, in particular the parks of the spa, the public gardens, and parks of villas and hotels.
Chianciano Terme is nowadays one of the major spa resorts in Europe, thanks to its outstanding waters and extensive parks.
Acqua di Sillene (Sillene Water)
Letting yourself be wrapped in the warm and welcoming hug of a toning bath or a therapeutic mud bath is the best remedy to effectively boost your blood circulation.
"Acqua Sillene" is particularly suited to this purpose, thanks to its chemical and physical features and to its ideal temperature of 38.5° C.
Treatments with "Acqua Sillene" are administered by means of bath and mud bath therapies (the mud is made up of clay which is "matured" by commixture in Thermal Waters and heated to a temperature of around 48° C).
